In addition to ordinary members, there are two special roles in the coven which have some additional privileges:
- Leader - usually a creator of the coven who can add or remove members, edit coven description and images, assign officers, or even dismiss the coven
- Officer - these players are promoted by the leader, they can add and remove members, edit coven description and images, but they cannot assign and fire other officers or dismiss the coven
Leaders and officers are always highlighted in the coven member lists to help players to recognize them. In good covens a leader and officers help new members to understand the rules of the coven, help to resolve possible difficulties with the game, settle conflicts, etc.
