A Titan is a giant unique monster. Titans are similar to other monsters, but way more powerful. They cannot be defeated by a single warrior or a small group of witches and wizards. To defeat a titan it is necessary to unite magical forces of hundreds of witches and wizards and cast powerful spells.
There are also Monster Champions in Witchcraft. Unlike Titans, a Monster Champion is a much stronger version of a regular monster. They are also very strong and can only be defeated by a collective effort of players.
Titans and Monster Champions spawn every few weeks, usually at weekends. When such event happens, you'll see a special notification at your game home page. The battle begins as soon as the monster reaches the border of the kingdom, there's a timer in the notification displaying the exact time of the beginning of the battle.
A Titan battle usually lasts 48 hours but a Monster Champion battle is shorter - only 24 hours. Ranks and rewards are also different and take into account the duration of the battle.
How to join the battle
As soon as the battle begins you're able to join it and start attacking the Titan or Monster Champion. Some titans may have special requirements, such as some items in the player's inventory or some stats at a certain level. In that case the requirements are displayed as well. To join the battle against such Titan or Monster Champion you should get all the necessary items and stats first, or use gems to get the necessary stuff immediately.
How to attack
Titan and Monster Champion battles use the autobattle system in the attack mode. Learn more about it here. The healing mode uses the same match-3 system as regular battles.
Helping Allies
To succeed in the battle you should attack the Titan or Monster Champion, but it is very important to help your allies as well - some rewards are impossible to receive without helping others.
When some of your allies are out of health, you’ll be able to help them replenish their health using your energy. For sure, they’ll be able to help you as well. There’s no level limitation here, so if you’re at level 100, you’ll be able to help your friends at level 10 and vise versa.
In order to heal your allies you need to switch to the healing mode. To do that, click the "Heal Allies" button in the bottom left corner of the battle screen.
The Titan will disappear and you will see your Avatar on the left and your allies' Avatars on the right. Healing mode uses the same mechanics: you heal your allies by making matches.
You can choose whom you want to heal. To do that click on one of your allies' avatars. It will become highlighted and other will be become transparent. To choose another ally to heal, simply click on their avatar. If you don't choose anyone, healing will be split randomly between all available allies.
What influences the healing efficiency?
Base healing: by default you heal 500 health for your ally with 1 swap. If you have the “Battle Healer” skill upgraded, the healing value is increased by a certain percent (specified in the description of the skill). Additional matches and tiles also increase the amount of health you heal for your allies.
There are special boosts that will help you heal more effectively. You can find them in the Potions category of the Shop. They work the same as damage boosts, except they add a healing bonus instead of a damage bonus.
Please note, that damage boosts don't work in healing mode and the other way around. Spells are not available in the healing mode.
You can also get a special tactical task - “Mass heal”. It works similar to a special attack. It doesn't require energy to use. It's also 10 times as effective as the base heal.
To receive the rewards for healing ranks you need to heal a certain amount of health for your allies specified in the rank's information. When you reach that amount the rank is considered completed. For example, if you heal your ally for 550 health, you get 550 points towards your healing ranks. So it's better to use all resources available to achieve higher ranks faster and get better rewards.
Ranks & Rewards
There are heroes and there are soldiers. The epic battle is a teamwork and every brave fighter should be rewarded.
Titan or Monster Champion has four different kinds of rewards:
- Round rewards are given to all players that completed at least 1 round. Round rewards may contain gold, gems, potions, charms, a Titan Chest or Monster Champion Chest and other items. Every round has its own reward. You can see all rewards in the "Rounds" page of the "Rewards" window.
- Healer rewards are given to every player who heal their allies enough times. The more friends you heal the higher your reward will be. It is not necessary to damage the Titan or Monster Champion to obtain these rewards, so you can simply heal your friends to help them in the battle and get your reward. The full list of rewards is available in the 'Rewards' section, tab 'Healer Ranks'.
- Rewards for completing Power-Up tasks. These rewards can be claimed by players who completed a certain amount of Power Up tasks or helped their friends complete the tasks. Your reward depends on your contribution. The full list of awards is available in the “Power Up Rewards” tab of the “Rewards” window. Read more here.
Round rewards, rewards for completing Power-Up tasks and healing rewards are combined.
Rewards are available for collection at the end of the battle when a Titan or Monster Champion is defeated. You’ll get the notification when you are able to claim your reward.
